As a photographer who specializes in Fine Art wedding photography, I have always been drawn to the timeless look and feel of film. There’s just something so special about the way film captures light and emotion, giving photos a dreamy quality that digital just can’t replicate.
There’s a certain mindfulness and intentionality that comes with shooting film – every click of the shutter feels deliberate and meaningful.
Unlike digital photography where you can take hundreds of shots without thinking twice, shooting film requires a more thoughtful approach.
But despite this challenge, shooting with film also presented its own set of rewards. The colors and tones that film produces are unparalleled, giving the photos a rich, painterly quality that is truly breathtaking. From the soft pastels of the floral arrangements to the warm golden light of the ceremony, every image felt like a work of art.
